This is IKEA Heights. I can’t decide if I find it funny or not, though. It might be, but considering that it was filmed at IKEA—the very same IKEA I shop at, no less—I get distracted by everything. “Look at that bed set,” I thought to myself during the opening sequence, “I’ve actually seen that.” And then when they cut to the work scene where one man says he can be that friend you need in times of need for the other man, the only thing that went through my head was, “That desk unit is okay, but you can mix and match a few different items on the floor to make a much more functional and unique workspace.” If you were to casually ask me, I’d have no clue what the actual premise of the story is. I’d have some vague sense of the people involved, like there were a few men and a couple of women. And yet, I’d be able to tell they were casually chatting next to a Lack coffee table and an Expedit bookcase.
